All Marble Crew, 2008:
All Marble Crew by Adrian Lee takes the 21st century urban bogeyman ‘the hoodie’, scourge of suburban shopping centres and night buses, and marries it with another recent phenomenon, ‘the busking statue’. Now the viewer is offered the opportunity to look into the very eyes of its own middle class nightmare; standing safely, with its teeth pulled, on display for our pleasure. Blank-faced they stare across Covent Garden Plaza towards their conventional counterparts with their tricorne hats and cloaks.
